TOGETHER FOR RESPECT: ROMA MEN AND WOMEN SPEAK OUT ABOUT EQUALITY AND JUSTICE
For more than twenty years, we at the Advisory Center for Civil and Human Rights have been working to make Slovakia a place where everyone can live a dignified, free, and equal life—regardless of their origin.
This video captures a meeting of Roma activists in Danišovce, organized by the Advisory Center for Civil and Human Rights on October 27-29, 2025.
It is a space where people from the Roma community meet, share their experiences, and look for ways to stand together against discrimination and inequality. At the same time, they show what it means to stand up for their rights, support each other, and strive for equal opportunities for everyone without discrimination.
The video features the authentic voices of activists talking about courage, dignity, and the strength of the community. Their stories remind us that change does not come by itself—it is created by people who believe in a more just society.
Every person has the right to a dignified life. And each of us can be part of that change.
