Expert opinion of the Slovak Equality Body on the assessment of the intention to create a Roma national school in the village of Rakúsy
On 19 November 2024, at our request, the Slovak National Centre for Human Rights, as the national anti-discrimination body, issued an expert opinion in which it stated that the intention of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic to create a pilot national Roma school in village Rakúsy, including through temporary special measures, would, if implemented, be contrary to the imperative of non-discrimination.
