Social determinants of Roma health in Slovakia – access to water and waste management
For a long time the Slovak authorities have been falling short of ensuring the right to water for Roma living in segregated communities. The project is meant to addresses this serious human rights issue. It aims to improve access to water and other basic amenities, including sewage system, for Roma in segregated communities in Slovakia, reduce health risks linked to violation of their right to health and improve public health legal framework.
As partner organisation we are engaged in selected activities of the project, like strategic litigation and advocacy activities towards domestic and international institutions.
The project is implemented by NGO Forum for Human Rights. Our partnership on the project is agreed on period from 1 July 2019 till 31 December 2019.
The project was financially supported by Open Society Foundations.
