In April 2023, together with partner NGOs Fenestra and Women’s Circles, we sent an alternative report to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, in which we draw its attention to selected shortcomings in the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women by the Slovak Government. In it, we point to the ongoing lack of effective protection of women’s rights in Slovakia, including the multiple and intersectional discrimination against Roma women in various areas of life in Slovakia, and in particular in the area of reproductive and maternal health care.
