On 20 August 2020, the Regional Court in Bratislava upheld the judgment of the first instance court that in March 2019 dismissed our actio popularis lawsuit filed on the basis of the Slovak Anti-Discrimination Act. It confirmed that the sued state authorities – the District office in Prešov and the Ministry of Education – have no obligation to take measures on the elimination of segregation of Roma children in a local primary school in a village Terňa. We are planning to submit an extraordinary appeal to the Supreme Court.
